Objective: Community Clean up, learn more about proper disposal of waste and celebrate the World Clean Up Day.
Practice: We Cleaned the environment, learnt about proper disposal of waste and recycling and celebrated the World Clean Up Day 2024.
Success: In celebration of World Clean Up Day, Darren Hart Foundation was thrilled to have successfully completed a community clean-up in Southlands Lang’ata slum, in collaboration with NTT Data to mark the World Clean Up Day. Together with over 100 dedicated volunteers and local youth groups; Tegemeo, Amua, Maendeleo, and Zidisha, we collected about 8 tons of waste and unclogged about 300 meters of sewer line. This is a testament to the power of community and teamwork in making our neighborhoods cleaner and healthier for everyone. A big thank you to all who participated!
