the founder's message

The devoted members and volunteers of Darren Hart Foundation (DHF) are actively working towards environmental conservation and closing the divide between privilege and poverty. We are geared towards establishing a society where equal opportunities are available to all individuals.

I normally preach about being compassionate and let me try to break it down. Compassion involves feeling another person’s pain and wanting to take steps to help relieve their pain. It’s the desire, the passion and the willingness to help others without prejudice. Sometimes it only takes a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, or a few kind words. Do not turn your back on others if you see them hurting. You might not know everything going on in their lives.

We often learn we have more than we need and remember to be grateful for what we have by helping others. Seeing the daily struggles that others go through can help you learn how to help others and how to show compassion. When you say something unkind, hearts can get crampled or torn a little bit. You can try to fix it, but the damage is already done, just like unkind words can’t be taken back!

At DHF, we have had an opportunity to work with hundreds of organizations and thousands of volunteers. Over the years, we have relied on the goodwill of Kenyans and friends of Kenya to operate. We have also benefited from partnerships of several organizations to conduct some of our projects. More than ever, we need your help to continue our work.

As we look for more positive years ahead, we hope we will be able to attract strategic partnerships to continue pursuing our objectives. Mahatma Gandhi once said “The earth has enough resources to meet the needs of all but not enough to satisfy the greed of even one person”. Let’s Love, Care and Share!

I welcome you all to be part of Darren Hart Foundation Mission.
