Objective: To provide moral, emotional and financial support to the children’s home.
Context: Sidon’s Children’s Home lacked enough items such as beddings, clothes , sanitary towels, stationery and food.
Practice: We went to Sidon Children’s Home in Zimmerman along Thika Road with food, beddings, clothes, sanitary towels and stationery that people donated and also the foods we bought.
We also taught the children the “ My Body Is My Body Program”
Success: We conducted the “My Body Is My Body Program” successfully where the children were taught to be self aware and the abuses they can undergo. Should it happen they should report to the safe adult.
We put a smile on the children’s faces by playing with them and giving them some of the basic needs they need.
We helped them see the opportunities that come with education.
