On 24th April, during our World Earth Day celebration, over 50 passionate volunteers came together for a successful community clean-up along Kitengela Road in Southlands, Lang’ata. The activity brought together young people, residents, and environmental champions committed to creating a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment for everyone.
Armed with brooms, gloves, reusable water bottles, and great energy, volunteers worked together to collect waste, promote responsible disposal, and encourage environmental stewardship within the community. The clean-up was not only about restoring cleanliness but also about inspiring collective responsibility and sustainable living.
The event began at 8:30 AM near Uhuru Gardens Primary School along Lang’ata Road, opposite Lang’ata Hospital, with volunteers uniting under one mission — making a lasting positive impact on the environment and the community.
We are deeply grateful to every volunteer who showed up, sacrificed their time, and contributed towards making Southlands cleaner and greener. Your dedication continues to prove that small actions, when done together, create lasting impact.
As we continue organizing environmental activities across communities, we invite more people to join us in protecting our environment and building a sustainable future for generations to come.
Together, we can create lasting change
